What is Google Chrome?

It’s a Internet browser in short term. As Google Chrome page says “A browser that combines a minimal Design with sophisticated technology to make web bla bla bla….” Like every other browser company’s Google also promises to make Web faster, safer and easier with Chrome.
Google has developed it’s own browser, in challenge to Microsoft’s Dominant Internet Explorer.

I have already started the download of “Chrome” to check out how it works, anyways not going to switch my browser in near feature from FF3 /IE7

Some Lights on Chrome

- Developed using components from Apple’s WebKit and Mozilla’s Firefox
- Process based architecture, like most modern OS.
- Different TAB will have different child process (need to under stand this more in details).
- Smart user will come to know what site is using what CPU n memory !!
- SAD TAB concept, if one tab goes down it would be sad tab but it want effect the other tabs !!!
- Clams for Good memory and Process management!!
- Concept of “Chrome bot”
- Virtual Machine (V8) for java script
- No Address bar but omnibox, omnibox are the address bar with more features and different for each TAB) like Searches, TOP pages, most visted pages, Popular pages you havn’t visited
- Full text search over the history, Some times we forget to bookmark the pages we need to use next time, next day, Full text search of history would be useful in this case.
- Privacy mode, can create a “Incognito” window, what ever happen inside that tab is not logged on the Machine and browser, even the cookies, will be cleared ones the tab is closed
- No more Popup windows!!
- Has Capabilities to detect malware or suspected phishing sites.
I have just completed installation of Chrome, found it amazzzzzzzzzzing look wise!! Woulds be posting a review with required screenshots very soon!!
